There are all sorts of good reasons to enjoy a short stay in Kenya's capital city of Nairobi, like visiting the Giraffe Center to hand-feed tame Rothschild's giraffes, and the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, which rescues orphaned elephants and rhinos. Both are such heartwarming experiences. Also of interest are the Karen Blixen Museum and African curio markets.

Lodges are spectacular and activities including horseback and camel rides with Samburu guides.
