While we tell our guests that there really is no such thing as a “typical” day on safari because each day holds a different adventure, there is a natural rhythm to your daily schedule on safari that is tied to the times of day the animals will be most active: early morning, late afternoon, and evenings.

Primates have the power to captivate human observers in a way few other animals can. Their closely knit troops interact in ways – whether playing, grooming, quarrelling, or foraging – that are both familiar and thrilling.

Guests may dine onsite in the camps, but because being outdoors is the epitome of safari living and game drives can last all day, dining al fresco is an integral part of the journey. 

Many of the storied wilds of Africa would have disappeared long ago if not for a very concerted effort to keep them wild. Over a century ago, forward thinkers began cordoning off sections of undeveloped plains, bush, jungles, and savannahs to conserve natural resources and protect wildlife.

The quick answer is: everything, from beginning to end, so you can travel through Africa with complete peace of mind!
