The Laikipia plateau stretches from Mount Kenya to the Rift Valley, with more than two million acres of private ranches. This has opened up some ancient migratory corridors for wildlife and a refuge for some rarer species like wild dog, reticulated giraffe and Grevy's zebra. Lodges are spectacular and activities including horseback and camel rides with Samburu guides.
