Kafue National Park
Zambia
Where the Wetlands Meet the Grasslands
Kafue is a vast wilderness, with thick woodlands in the south and grassy wetlands in the north. Camps along the three life-giving rivers have boats for fishing, extraordinary birdlife and wandering game. Camps on the Busanga floodplains, are rewarded by thousands of grazing antelope, with attendant carnivores like lion, cheetah and wild dog. The only animals missing are giraffes.
