
Sarah graduated from Stanford in 1997 and went to work for the Stanford Alumni Association. She was part of its Family Adventures program for five years, serving as director of the program for three years. Sarah has written children’s educational programming for all ages and spent three summers as a counselor and ultimately staff director at Stanford’s alumni family camp. Sarah’s travels have taken her as far away as Fiji and Madagascar and as close to home as Alaska and Costa Rica. She has led over 14 family programs, including several safaris through Kenya, and Bushtracks’ first three family safaris. Sarah currently teaches at a private high school in Boston.

Lisa Reed has a natural affinity with children and families and enjoys passing on her years of African safari experience and knowledge to the next generation. Her ability with children draws families together for a special time in the "classroom" of the African bush. Born in Zimbabwe and educated in South Africa, she has been guiding for over 16 years and tailors every safari to suit the ages and interests of both children and adults. In her spare time Lisa rides horses and enjoys various kinds of art.
