Africa

Walk, drive and boat in this luxury African safari through Zambia's South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi National Parks. Experience the thrill of a traditional walking safari in the South Luangwa. Professional guides will lead guests on a treasure hunt of fresh tracks and spoor while encountering Africa at ground level. View the Lower Zambezi at day and night from the comfort of a vehicle, or encounter hippo while floating down the Zambezi River. This is the best way to see authentic wildlife activity.
You will start off your safari in the Luangwa Valley which has long been regarded as one of Africa's finest wildlife reserves. Its unspoiled natural beauty and abundant game make it an ideal destination for an African safari holiday. Zambia is the home of walking safaris. Experience the bush in unique ways, hear, smell and feel the bush as well as see it. The South Luangwa National Park is home to a wide variety of game, bird and vegetation. Dense populations of elephants, hippos, leopards, giraffe, wildebeest and lions are sustained by the park's lush resources.
Continue on to the Lower Zambezi National Park, Zambia's newest park and as such is still relatively undeveloped. This allows the park's beauty to exist in its absolute wilderness state. The diversity of animals is not as wide as the other big parks, but the opportunities to get close to game wandering in and out of the Zambezi channels are spectacular. The Park lies opposite the famous Mana Pools Reserve in Zimbabwe, so the whole area on both sides of the river is a massive wildlife sanctuary. Baboons and vervet monkeys thrive here with their main enemy being the leopard. Lions prefer zebra or buffalo. Territorial hippos and huge crocodiles inhabit the river in abundance. Bird watchers will be thrilled at the colorful array of birds including kingfishers, lovebirds, parrots and hornbills, and also upon hearing the distinctive 'cry of Africa' from majestic fish eagles.
Conclude your safari at Victoria Falls located in Livingstone, Zambia. Victoria Falls is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. David Livingstone, the Scottish explorer, is believed to have been the first European to view the Victoria Falls, and this is the name in use in Zimbabwe. The older, indigenous name of Mosi-oa-Tunya is the name in official use in Zambia. The World Heritage List recognises both names. While it is neither the highest nor the widest waterfall in the world, it is claimed to be the largest. This claim is based on a width of 5,600 ft and height of 360 ft, forming the largest sheet of falling water in the world. The falls' maximum flow rate compares well with that of other major waterfalls.
