See South Africa in style beginning in Cape Town, before boarding a luxurious train for a three-day rail safari through the stunning Drakensburg mountains, topped off with a big game safari in Kruger. Spend three days exploring Cape Town; Table Mountain; Robben Island; the Cape Dutch architecture and winelands of Stellenbosch; and the fynbos and proteas of Kirstenbosch Gardens. Then fly to Durban and board your classic train, outfitted with wood panels, large bedrooms with private bathrooms, and elegant dining and sitting cars. Day 1
Cape Town, South Africa
Arrive Cape Town off international flights. Transfer to accommodation. The Cellars-Hohenort is a haven of peace and tranquility. Previously the famous Klassenbosch wine estate, the hotel is situated in the heart of the Constantia Valley.

Days 2 - 3
Cape Town, South Africa
Full day touring with private guide through Cape Town and surrounding areas. Tours are flexible and could include a tour of the District 6 Museum and Langa Township to learn about life during the apartheid era, a Wineland tour or a Cape Peninsula tour to explore the beach towns and fishing villages along the Atlantic Coast among other choices. This evening, return to accommodation.

Durban, South Africa
Morning tour of Cape Town. Commercial flight to Durban, South Africa. Transfer to accommodation. Perfectly situated on the ocean's edge, a brief 5 minutes walk from Umhlanga Village Centre, the Oyster Box Hotel is conveniently located for quick and easy access to the Durban city centre.

Rovos Rail Journey to Pretoria, South Africa
Transfer to train station this morning. Travel the country with excursions to cultural and historical sites, as well as game parks. Afternoon arrival at train station. Transfer to accommodation. In a rural setting on the outskirts of Pretoria, a long avenue of Jacaranda trees leads to Kievits Kroon Country Estate. Set on 120 acres, the attractive Cape Dutch style buildings are set in park-like grounds with trim lawns and gardens.

Kruger National Park, South Africa
Commercial flight to Kruger National Park. Transfer to accommodation. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives and walks. As you explore in open four-wheel drive vehicles with your highly qualified ranger and tracker, you are likely to see resident game including cheetah, zebra, wildebeest, black-backed jackal, wild dog, white rhino, black rhino, hippo and leopard, to name a few.
