Trip Summary

Our adventure begins aboard the 42 berth expedition cruise ship The Islander, reserved exclusively for our group. Using zodiacs and accompanied by expert naturalists, we explore the Galapagos Islands that have long been a place of mystery and intrigue. The natural beauty of the islands is set off by something of a miracle - a wildlife kingdom where the animals show no fear of humans, and where we can walk amongst them peacefully, equally curious to discover each other.

The sheer amount of wildlife here is astonishing - tortoises, blue-footed boobies, the famous finches, marine iguanas, and doe-eyed sea lion pups that swim and play with you - all thriving in a paradise of azure waters and white beaches. It is simply a life time privilege and a moving experience to share the creatures of the Galapagos with your family.

Next fly to Northern Peru and the realm of the Incas, which holds innumerable ancient treasures, from imposing pyramids and hilltop fortresses to the living culture of the Incas' descendants who live their traditions in the surrounding valleys. We'll explore Cusco and the Sacred Urubamba Valley, where the evidence of Inca civilization - including vibrant markets and traditional weavers - are evident at every turn. Then on to Machu Picchu, considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world and a stunning example of Incan architecture. Perched on the edge of a sheer cliff above the Urubamba River, this legendary city of stone offers a chance to explore and learn about altars, temples, and terraced gardens in a breathtaking and unforgettable setting, surrounded by the people you love.
