Arrive Amman and transfer to the Dead Sea resort area. The remainder of the evening is on your own to relax.
Transfer north to the ancient Roman city of Jerash to explore one of the most well preserved Roman cities in the world. Enjoy a spectacular chariot race in Jerash before a leisurely afternoon back at the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth.
Travel south along the King's Highway, an ancient trade route, to the Christian town of Madaba to see beautiful mosaics, both ancient and modern. Continue to Mount Nebo with its views of the Jordan Valley before exploring the Crusader Castle of Kerak.
Take a full day to explore the ancient Rose colored city of Petra with its exquisite temples, tombs and monuments, all hewn from solid mountain rock. Sights include the Treasury, accessed through the narrow ‘siq’, the Roman Theatre, the Corinthian and Palace Tombs and the Roman Road. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant inside Petra in order to take advantage of your time there. In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to climb the 1,200 steps to the impressive Monastery with spectacular views over Petra and the Negev Desert.
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and drive to the Valley of the Moon in the spectacular desert of Wadi Rum to enjoy 4x4 jeep tours. After a traditional lunch in a Bedouin Camp at Wadi Rum, head to Amman, the capital city of Jordan, for an evening flight to Cairo, Egypt and the start of the Egypt Family Adventure.
