Get to know the local residents while exploring this unique and beautiful Himalayan kingdom. Arrive Paro. Afternoon sightseeing.
Drive to Shelmkha and assist a local family with farm work. Have lunch on the farm and evening tea before driving on to Thimphu.
Full day sightseeing including the Traditional Hospital, arts school, Textile Museum, Cheri Temple and center of government.
Drive to Punakha over Dochu La Pass.
Full day drive to Trongsa. En route stop to visit Wangdi Prodrang Dzong. Cross the Pelila pass and drive through villages and forests.
Morning walk to the Trongsa Dzong. Drive through spectacular mountain scenery to Bumthang and Jakar Village.
Full day sightseeing including Jambay Temple, Tamshing Lhakhang and Kurjey Lhakhang complex. Local cooking demonstration with dinner.
Full day drive back to Punakha with stops to walk en route.
Morning visit to Punakha Dzong, one of the most beautiful in the country. Later visit a needy farm family to help repair their simple dwelling then have lunch with the family. Drive to Paro.
Hike to the famous Tiger's Nest monastery located on the side of a cliff 3,000 feet above the valley floor.
International flight home.
