Your Namibian photographic safari will bring you into close range with the big game for which Africa is famous, yet it will also introduce you to dramatic wind-swept dunes whose swirling, layered patterns extend to the horizon. This itinerary is designed to allow time in the best locations for your photography, as well as one-on-one time in camp with your photo leaders for tips on improving your shots.

Itinerary

Day 1

Windhoek, Namibia

Arrive and relax at your comfortable hotel before a welcome dinner and reception.

Lodging: Olive Grove Guest House

Days 2 - 3

Serra Cafema

Enjoy a scenic flight to remote Serra Cafema, home to nomadic Himba, dramatic landscapes, and desert species such as springbok and oryx. Stay in a luxurious tented camp on the Kunene River.

Days 4 - 5

Etosha National Park

Explore Namibia's premier big game destination and its open plains, natural springs, and acacia woodlands. Accompanied by naturalist guides, you'll photograph elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras and kori bustards.

Days 6 - 7

Etosha National Park and Ongava Reserve

Track and photograph both black and white rhino on the southern edge of the park and enjoy evening meals at the lodge with views over a floodlit waterhole.

Day 8

Walvis Bay and Sossusvlei

Enjoy a low-level flight along the Skeleton Coast to Walvis Bay. Explore Walvis Bay by boat for great photo opportunities with Cape fur seals, white pelicans, and other wildlife. Later take an unforgettable flight over the sand dunes of the Namib Desert.
