The Celebrity Safari
Reimagining Chelsea Handler's Uganda Be Kidding Me Safari
Ever wonder what it is like to go on safari celebrity-style? Comedienne and E! personality, Chelsea Handler, detailed her experience on a Southern Africa safari in her latest autobiography, Uganda Be Kidding Me. We couldn't resist recreating it Bushtracks-style, which you can further customize to your tastes. This safari includes Handler's two favorite stops (Londolozi Tree Camp and Vumbura Plains Camp) and eliminates the second camp she disliked. Beginning at the Sabi Sands private reserve bordering Kruger National Park, she next went to an unspecified camp whose inauthentic elephant rides disappointed her. Shown here is an alternative approach: a day at Victoria Falls followed by a much more authentic elephant encounter at Abu Camp. Handler and her group concluded their safari with four days at Vumbura Plains beautifully situated in the private Kwedi Reserve in the Okavango Delta.
