8,000 Square Miles of Wild Safari Land

There is an interesting story attached to this famous national park in Kenya. In 1896, British politicians made the decision to build a railway line from the port of Mombasa into the interior and literally into the middle of nowhere. It justly earned the nickname "The Lunatic Express." During the construction nearly 2500 laborers would die, some as prey to Tsavo's man-eating lions, who were eventually shot by the Bridge Construction Supervisor Lt. Colonel John Henry Patterson. Today, your journey will be a much less demanding (and much more rewarding) experience, in which you’ll see vast numbers of animals among classic Kenyan safari land.
