Land of the Zulu Kings
As kids, the Tett boys used to call it "Durban by the Sea." There are a number of resort-style hotels along the North and South Coast of Durban if you are looking for some RnR after your safari. It is also a good place to start or end a safari that explores the game parks of KwaZulu-Natal and its vibrant Zulu traditions. For example you can drive from Kruger to Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve known for its white rhino conservation, and end in Durban. Or you can fly to Durban, and board Rovos Rail which will take you on a 2-day journey through the dramatic Drakensberg Mountains and famous battlefields of the Boer War.
