Potato Bush Camp
Surrounded by Luxury and Africa’s Wildlife on the Zambezi River
Potato Bush Camp sits slightly downstream from its sister camp Sausage Tree Camp with a stunning panoramic view overlooking the Zambezi River and escarpment. This site is nestled under mahogany, sausage, winter thorn and acacia tortillas trees, which provide excellent shade. Potato Bush is comprised of four tents, three well appointed canvas and rosewood safari tents with large decks, private plunge pools, and indoor and outdoor showers. The fourth tent is a two bedroom family tent, which also has a large deck and its own plunge pool. Both bedrooms will have their own en-suite bathrooms. To complement the camp, an open-plan dining and lounge area is accessed by all four tents by way of raised timber boardwalks. This enables the camp to stay open from the 1st of April through to early January. Although the camp will run and operate as a satellite camp, it will hugely benefit from the nearby strong foundations, infrastructure and service levels that have been built over the past 16 years by Sausage Tree Camp. Potato Bush offers guided game drives, boating and fishing, canoeing, birding and walking safaris. Charles Tembo is the camp manager and heads the guiding team. Charles has been with Sausage Tree Camp since it opened in 1996.
