      Na'Ankuse Lodge

A Namibian Conservation Lodge Supporting Wildlife and the San Bushman Community

Namibia is blessed with breathtaking sceneries, magnificent vistas and the most diverse array of unique landscapes. Besides its beautiful land, Namibia is one of the few African countries where six species of large carnivore still exist – cheetah, leopard, lion, African wild dog, spotted hyena and brown hyena. Na ‘Ankuse Lodge is perfectly situated to start or finish your trip to Namibia. With a range of enjoyable activities, including Carnivore Feeding Tours, and Cheetahs Up Close you are sure to enjoy an unforgettable African holiday. The lodge is crafted from ecologically clean material including solid logs and glass to complement Na ‘Ankuse’s beautiful wilderness setting. Guests will find six individual luxurious chalets and a tranquil dining area with stunning views, bar and swimming pool. There are also five beautifully appointed and fully equipped holiday houses available for hire. The Lodge also provides a breathtaking backdrop for weddings and conferences. The Lodge is a not for profit eco-tourism destination, where all profits are directed straight back to supporting Na’Ankuse’s charitable projects. Marlice van Vuuren, one of Namibia’s most well-known conservationists, and her husband Dr. Rudie van Vuuren started Na ‘Ankuse Foundation in 2006 with two aims – to protect and conserve Namibia’s vulnerable wildlife and to improve the lives of the marginalized San Bushman community. Each of the en-suite offers a secluded retreat from the ruggedness of Africa. Rooms boast large twin beds, air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms and each has its own private veranda with views overlooking the beautiful bushveldt. You will also have easy access to the swimming pool area where you can relax. Families or groups of friends can also choose to book one of five stunning and individual holiday homes available. Located near the main lodge, each house has its own plot, luxury fitted kitchen, lounge area and veranda with stunning views across the veldt. Guests in the holiday homes can still enjoy delicious, freshly cooked meals and all the facilities at the lodge, including the swimming pool and bar. You can also choose for the lodge to deliver dinner straight to your house or have your own braai (barbeque). There are two- and three-bedroom houses available. Chef Rhona Strauss has taken the lodge to a new dimension. When it comes to feeding the soul, the team of passionate and award-winning chefs will prepare Euro-African dishes to entice your palate and uplift your spirit. Whether it's a wake-me-up breakfast, picnic in the veldt, or dinner under the stars, we will be ready to look after your every culinary need.
