      Share an Elegant Hotel with Its Very Tall Residents

      Giraffe Manor is set in 12 acres of private land within 140 acres of indigenous forest and is only 12 miles from Nairobi city center. Built in the 1930s, this luxury boutique hotel has maintained all the charm of the era and is now famous for its resident herd of Rothschild Giraffe. Giraffe Manor offers you an unparalleled experience of the giraffes, with them vying for your attention at the breakfast table, the front door and even your bedroom window. Giraffe Manor is also home to many other characters including warthogs, bushbuck, dik dik and more than 180 species of birds. Accommodation at Giraffe Manor is varied and stylish. Giraffe Manor consists of two buildings, the Main Manor (built in the 1930s) and the Garden Manor (constructed two years ago). The Main Manor has six en-suite luxury bedrooms and the Garden Manor has four en-suite luxury bedrooms. The Karen Blixen Suite and The Finch Hatton Suite are both ideal for families. The property is located beside the AFEW giraffe centre, a two-minute walk from the Manor. Sightseeing vehicles can be arranged for local forays around the Langata area. The cost of the driver and vehicle is included in the rate. Guests may need to share a vehicle depending on demand and availability and entrance fees to local attractions are not included. Local excursions include: Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, Karen Blixen Museum, Kazuri Beads, Matt Bronze, Utamanduni market and Marula Studios.
