A Long History in African Conservation

Bushtracks was founded by the Tett family in 1989; their African heritage goes back six generations. For over 30 years they have focused on building Africa’s premier safari outfitter, and developing a solid reputation for authentic safari experiences. When you travel on a Bushtracks safari, it’s planned by people who are closely connected to the continent’s wildlife and wild lands. You’ll explore wild places we know intimately – natural habitats with safari lodges set in the best wildlife locations, and true to African traditions and sustainable practices.

The Value of Sustainable Travel and Safaris

Current world events have brought great clarity to the vital importance of sustainable travel and how it supports wild places and their cohabitating communities. Each safari camp we use is an experience economy – it hosts travelers who pay a premium for the privilege to explore pristine ecosystems and photograph the world’s most majestic creatures. Our travelers’ dollars fund jobs, each of which supports an average of 8 family members in the local community. Collectively these safari camps manage and protect millions of acres of wildlands, and fund hundreds of communities. Simply staying at our hand-picked safari camps means you have contributed handsomely to the conservation of these magical places.

Bushtracks Gives 1% for Africa

While our travelers play their part in conservation by booking a sustainable safari, Bushtracks joins with our travelers by donating 1% of the cost of every safari to both wildlife and community projects. Right now they need our help and support more than ever, as the projects deploy massive efforts monitoring wildlife, funding anti-poaching units, and providing social support.
