Art for Africa
We were fortunate enough to take our children on an amazing Bushtracks safari in the summer of ’06. I don’t think any one of us returned with out a passion for Africa burning inside our hearts. For our children it was the experience of finally meeting their pen pals in Makuni Village and connecting with all the beautiful people in Zambia. For my husband it was the adrenalin rush he experienced while standing in front of a huge bull elephant at close range.
For me it was the realization I have the power to make a difference!
Through my art I want to paint with the same passion I felt for everything and everyone I connected with in Africa. There is so much to be done and so much to give back. With the money raised for each painting I create, I am funneling 30% of the proceeds back through Bushtracks who can help us all make a difference through their connections with organizations that work to train local village people to manage wildlife and the environment and help run conservation-based ecotourism. -Linda
