    Journey across Western Africa, from the great red dunes of Namibia to the green canopy rainforests of the Congo, discovering desert antelope and dolphins, the rugged Skeleton Coast, nomadic Himba, the Big Five, forest elephant, and lowland gorillas.

    Our sturdy bushcraft and private jet flights create a very personalized custom African safari experience for only 12 guests, with easy access to remote and wild places including Sossusvlei, the Hartmann Valley, and Etosha National Park in Namibia; and Brazzaville and the Odzala National Park in the Congo Basin.

    Detailed Itinerary

    (Note: Northbound itinerary presented, Southbound visits all stops in reverse order.)

    Day 1 U.S. to South Africa (commercial flight)

    Day 2 Arrive Johannesburg, South Africa. Overnight and orientation.

    Days 3-4 Sossusvlei Namibia. From Johannesburg take a commercial flight to Windhoek where you’ll connect with your bush flight to Sossusvlei Camp. Spend two days exploring the dramatic red dunes of the Namib Desert, among the world’s tallest. Explore the desert with naturalist guides. Little Kulala Desert Lodge

    Day 5 Walvis Bay, Namibia.

    A short flight over the sparkling blue waters of Walvis Bay connects you to your next bush flight over the dramatic geological formations of the Skeleton Coast and on to Serra Cafema Camp. Serra Cafema

    Day 6 Serra Cafema, Namibia Your private safari camp is located on the banks of the Kunene River, and surrounded by the Namib Desert’s lunar landscape. Guided nature drives will reveal desert and riverine wildlife. Also visit a Himba settlement. Serra Cafema

    Days 7-8 Etosha Namibia After a bush flight to your next camp, Bushtracks owners, David and Carolyn Tett, will welcome you to your luxury safari camp at “Namibia’s Watering Hole,” Etosha National Park. Enjoy classic game-viewing and Big Five sightings from the comfort of your intimate camp located on the doorstep of one of Africa’s best wildlife destinations. Mushara Outpost

    Day 9 Brazzaville, Congo A flight by private jet saves three separate flights, bringing you comfortably to your next destination in two hours. Arrive in Congo Brazzaville’s remote northwest, where your comfortable camp overlooks the bai and its wildlife visitors. Lango Camp

    Days 10-12 Lango Camp. Bais, or clearings, in the dense rainforest offer sightings and photo opportunities of forest wildlife, including forest elephants and rare bongo and sitatunga antelope and forest buffalo. Game drives on foot and in canoes will reveal the enchanting beauty of this pristine African rainforest. Lango Camp

    Days 13-15 Ngaga Gorillas and Odzala National Park. Drive to your final safari camp ideally situated for tracking endangered habituated Western lowland gorillas living nearby. Intimate encounters with one of the three gorilla habituated groups will offer insight into the gorilla personality and community. Ngaga Camp
